I also enjoy doing 3D photos. I have a digital stereo rig that I use of twinned Canon Power Shot 1000 cameras. They are on a rig together and are set off by pressing an external button which is made by someone in Germany. The software the cameras use to keep the images together is Stereo Data Maker.
I create my photo cards with Stereo Photo Maker, a free program and more info can be found on that on the links page. I cannot “free view” so I use this cardboard fold down viewer from Loreo to enjoy my photos.
The following are a few examples of my 3D work. If you click on each they will open up in a larger version. More examples, if you enjoy these, can be found at the Gallery.
As you have probably seen from my other photos, if you have been following my Photo of the Day, I enjoy doing close up work. I have tried a few stereo shots and this one of the iris and the following one of the penstemon have turned out the best so far. I shot them both against a blank background.
As you might have also seen, I enjoy trains and railroading. The next two are of the ATSF 3415 Locomotive that was restored in Abilene, KS.
I am also interested and work with live steam grand scale engines. This is a view of a Wagner 15″ scale locomotive at Rollag, MN.
This last one is a view of a prairie fire from last spring. As I said, if you enjoyed these, there are more examples to be found at the Gallery.
