This is a macro shot I did this week of my flowering Quince.Β It’s a really pretty bush but is not in a good spot.Β Last year something ate a lot of it too.Β I love when it blooms but almost missed it this year due to everything being so early.

This is an HDR photo of a really neat barn I saw in the area of Pennsylvania near Ricketts Glen State Park.Β It was the fanciest barn I had ever seen so I just had to get a photo of it.

I took this photo the other day in someones yard that just loves flowers and grew so many different varieties.Β I was so excited to see these because I had only seen them in photos and never in real life.Β These are called Bleeding Hearts.

For my photo today I am posting one of my favorite photos.Β Some of you who visit will know why.Β This is a shot of UP 844 when it came through Junction City a few years back.Β I think it was just starting to blow down it’s boiler.

I was pretty happy when I got this shot a few weeks ago.Β I have trouble even getting one cardinal and I was able to get two, a male and female.Β They were chasing each other around the tree but finally sat long enough to get a shot.

I got this shot yesterday afternoon.Β There were a number of honey bees flying around this red bud tree so I was trying to get a photo.Β I was very pleased to find two in one shot and both in focus!

I took this photo along the Pennsylvania Turnpike on the way home from PA yesterday.Β It’s an HDR photo of a piece of Americana, an old Mail Pouch Tobacco barn that has seen better days.Β I have photographed this one before and it is deteriorating.Β Sad that one day this will be gone but I am sure preserving it would be a costly undertaking.

This is a macro shot of a really common weed here that I never would have thought of as pretty but is when viewed up close.Β This is a shot of henbit which has a flower that looks like it is in the orchid family.
