This is another barn that I saw in Pennsylvania that I thought was pretty interesting.   I love the style with those thin windows that are kind of shuttered over.  This is a single shot that I processed as an HDR photo.

This is a shot of an old barn in Pennsylvania.  I love the style of the barns out there, I believe they have a Dutch influence on them.  I processed this in my HDR program even though it was a single shot.

Have a day off today so can post early.  I took this shot last night.  It’s the moon behind trees and I processed it as an HDR to bring out the trees in the foreground and the wispy clouds that were over the moon.  One of the shots that was used for this was long enough that you can see a streak from a star in the upper right area.  It’s actually a composite of 3 shots.

This is something a bit different.  I was doing a photography project this past year and for some of it was rural scenes.  This was one I captured in late afternoon light that I liked with the barn color against the winter wheat and sky.  It has a bit of HDR effect applied to it as well to bring things out more.  This was taken on December 1.

This is another view of the Glade Creek Grist Mill at Babcock State Park in West Virginia that I took this summer.  This is an HDR version of it that I thought turned out rather nicely.

This is an HDR photo of a really neat barn I saw in the area of Pennsylvania near Ricketts Glen State Park.  It was the fanciest barn I had ever seen so I just had to get a photo of it.

I took this photo along the Pennsylvania Turnpike on the way home from PA yesterday.  It’s an HDR photo of a piece of Americana, an old Mail Pouch Tobacco barn that has seen better days.  I have photographed this one before and it is deteriorating.  Sad that one day this will be gone but I am sure preserving it would be a costly undertaking.

This is the steam engine in Rollag, MN at the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion that I have been fortunate enough to be able to get to play fireman on the past couple of years.  It is old Soo Line locomotive 353.  It used to be a switch engine back in the day but now runs the 2 miles of track around the showgrounds giving visitors fee rides.  It is coal fired.  This photo has an HDR effect on it to bring out some of the shadows.

I had taken this photo late last spring.  It was one of the first HDR photos I had ever done.  This is Pillsbury Crossing outside of Manhattan, KS.  It’s where the settlers traveling west used to cross the stream because the limestone shelf was so nice and flat and the water was fairly shallow.  That part is to the left of this photo of one of the few waterfalls in Kansas.

Needed something colorful today, it’s been so cloudy and dreary.  I took this in September in Rollag, MN at the Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion.  It’s an HDR of some restored New Way gas engines that were a feature of the show this past year.
